Admission is free; a love offering will be taken (suggested amount $15 per person).

This 90-voice choir returns to Winter Park fresh from tour performances in Kenya.  The concert will feature Jake Runestad’s “American Triptych” which sets to music the poetry of Henry David Thoreau, Wendell Barry and John Muir.

Here’s some of the text:

We live but a fraction of our life.  We do not fill all our pores with our blood; we do not inspire and expire fully and entirely enough, so that the wave of each inspiration shall break on our farthest shores, rolling ‘til it meets the sand which bounds us, and the sound of the surf comes back to us.  Why do we not let on the flood, raise the gates, and set all our wheels in motion?

Come hear these words brought thrillingly to life by the Festival Singers of Florida.  You’ll be glad you did!
